Description
CAMELOPARDALIS got its name from the Latin derivation of the Greek word for “giraffe”. Camelopardalis is a large but faint constellation and its brightest star is called Beta Camelopardalis. There are no myths associated with the constellation. “The giraffe” was only created in the 17th century by Dutch astronomer Petrus Plancius and documented by German astronomer Jakob Bartsch in 1624.
